This Friday 18th March, the Tears and Favours Foundation organised a charity dinner in the Provincial Government building, located on C/ Pacífico nº 54. The gala was attended by several principal institutions in the city, amongst them, Málaga CF. Representing the Club were Málaga CF Board member, Sheikh Nayef Al Tani; Club Advisers, Abdullah Ben Barek and Francisco Martín Aguilar; and sports director, Francesc Arnau.
The organisation, which has Málaga-born actor, Antonio Banderas as ambassador, collaborates with numerous non-profit organisations working in the social sphere, such as Cudeca and Málaga University.
Sheikh Nayef Al Thani told MCFTV before the event that he “is very happy to be here representing our Club. I think it’s important that Málaga supports this Foundation. I’m very proud.”
Arnau, who was also present, affirms “the Club is very important in the city, and as such we have to engage in events like this.” Martín Aguilar also highlights MCF’s willingness to take part in such actions: “We contribute so that funds are raised for causes with which Málaga CF will always be ready to collaborate.” “We’re obliged to participate and collaborate in all charity events. We’re here on behalf of the Club, that must always be present on these occasions,” concludes Abdullah Ben Barek.
