Málaga CF and FONTAREL to join forces for the next two years

‘Because here in Málaga, life is drunk in full colour’, the Blue and Whites will be exclusively provided with mineral water from the Andalusian brand for the next two seasons.

Fontarel and Málaga CF have signed an agreement this morning to join forces until 2019, becoming the Andalusian official water supplier for the Blue and Whites’ team for the next two seasons.

Fontarel will hydrate the first team players, Atlético Malagueño, as well as all Academy and MCF Femenino teams.

Málaga CF player, Jony, MCF Femenino’s Chelsea and young player Samuel from the Academy, were all at the presentation of the new brand of water.

Loja, the ‘City of Water’, is the epicentre where this water comes from, from the Fontarel spring. “Because here in Málaga, life is drunk in full colour” is the slogan by Granada-born singer, Rosa López, who is promoting this 100% Andalusian product, which wholly preserves the natural resources and quality of its waters.

With this agreement, Fontarel highlights its commitment to Andalusian sport. A fresh water spring, clear and recognised as Natural Mineral since 1999, which will refresh all Malaguista teams during the upcoming two seasons.

About Fontarel

The Fontarel spring, located in Loja, forms part of the Corporación Hijos de Rivera, owners of the Aguas de Cabreiroá (Galicia) and Agua de Cuevas (Asturias) springs.

The spring is practically in the geographical centre of Andalucía, on the border between the provinces of Málaga and Granada, in the surroundings of Sierras de San Jorge and Sierra Gorda.

Situated on a 5-hectare plot of land, with a protection perimeter of more than 50, it extracts a water of weak mineralisation, with great scope in Andalucía and available on the market in various formats.
