Málaga CF and Andalucían football prepare for historic Champions League match

Málaga Club de Fútbol has already made history, but is now focused on becoming a legend. In collaboration with the Andalucían Tourist Board, the Club has launched a promotional video for Wednesday’s historic match at La Rosaleda.

For the first time in history, an Andalucían team could reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.  To do this, Málaga need to overcome their 1-0 defeat in the first leg at the Do Dragao.  The players are ready…are you?

Málaga are determined to defend their city, province and the whole of Andalucia in the biggest competition in Europe.  Manuel Pellegrini’s men face the last-16 second leg tie on Wednesday with the unyielding support of their fans.  Three members of the first team - Julio Baptista, Jesús Gámez and Willy Caballero – have returned to medieval times to make the video, in collaboration with the Andalucían Tourist Board, showing how they’re preparing for this historic encounter.

Málaga Club de Fútbol is about to face the most important match in the Club’s history, and the team, as well as the whole of Andalucía, will be the central focus of over 40 million football fans.
