Atlético Malagueño lost by 3-1 in Huétor Tajar on Sunday, knocking them off the top spot of Third Division Group IX.
The reduced size of the pitch again caused problems for Atlético Malagueño. Neither team clearly dominated the game nor were there any further goal chances than shown on the score board. Josep Clotet’s boys weren’t at all comfortable on the pitch, and they showed a very stilted game play, particularly towards the end.
The home team’s first goal spurred the ‘Malaguistas’ on, but the Blue and Whites were unable to find their usual rhythm of play. An Emilio penalty brought a glimmer of hope for the visitors, but a defensive error led to any hope of victory.
