Lumor is signed after his trial period

The Ghanaian left-back, who joined training nine days ago, signs to Málaga CF as a free agent until the end of the season.

Lumor Agbenyenu (15/08/1996 - Accra, Ghana) is a new Málaga CF player until the end of the current 2022/23 season, after successfully passing a trial period that began last Monday 10th October.

The left back, an international with his country and arriving as a free agent, has received the approval of both coach Pepe Mel and sporting director Manolo Gaspar, and will share the left side of the defence with Javi Jiménez.

For 26 years of age, Lumor has had an extensive career, with Portugal’s Portimonense, German outfit 1860 München, Turkey’s Göztepe and Sporting Clube de Portugal, before arriving to the Spanish league in 2019/20 with RCD Mallorca.

His first experience in our country involved him playing 23 matches in LaLiga Santander and scoring a goal, as well as a cup match where he provided an assist.

The last club that Lumor was part of was Greek side Aris Thessaloniki, from where he was released at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

At national team level, the new Blue and White left-back played with Ghana in the 2019 Africa Cup held in Egypt.

Nine days on trial with the group have been enough for Lumor to make the cut and he will be registered to the first team for the remainder of the season.

Good luck on this journey that gets underway today!
