Luis: “It felt like Three Kings’ night”

The homegrown central defender made his First Division debut in #BarçaMálaga: “After the match ended, I couldn’t sleep that night. Debuting at Camp Nou is a dream”.

First Division debut

“It was a dream come true.  Like before the Three Kings come and you’re too excited to sleep.  After the match ended, I couldn’t sleep that night”.

Congratulations

“My family congratulated me, as they’ve been supporting me since I was little.  Nearly all my teammates and school friends encouraged me”.

Performance

“The coach gave me the opportunity and I tried not to make a mistake.  I think I did well”.

Golden point

“In truth, it was a good result for us.  It’s a golden point.  I went out there and we performed well.  Everyone supported me and I felt great.  Bringing a point home from Camp Nou isn’t easy”.

Amazing match for Kameni

“When I looked back and saw Neymar, I thought it was going to be a goal, but Kameni appeared and made an excellent save.  The dead ball fell to my side.  I tried to get there as fast as possible to finish”.

Words from Juande Ramos

“He told me to come out strong and focused, that my teammates would support me and to listen to them.  Miguel Torres helped me a great deal”.

Final minutes

“The last minutes of play were very difficult.  We defended with fewer players.  It was tough.  We were very much in the game”.

Height and placement

“Since I was little I was told I was a bit too short to play as a central, but I think I have strong header potential and good placement, which is the most important”.
