Lombán trains at full pace on the return to work

The Malaguista central defender was in training with his teammates today, the first session of the week, having overcome the discomfort to his knee.

The Málaga CF squad returned to training this Tuesday morning having enjoyed two days of rest following the draw against UD Las Palmas on LaLiga Smart Bank matchday 2. The return of central defender, David Lombán was the positive news of the day. He completed the session normally, after overcoming the injury discomfort to his right knee.

The session kicked off with the usual warm-up and various physical activation exercises with the ball. Subsequently, the Blue and White players worked on finishing exercises and ended training with a match on a reduced-sized pitch.

Luis Hernández and Mula remained in the gym today, both recovering from their respective injuries. Both stepped on to the pitch in the final part of the session, together with first team physical trainer, Manu Gestoso, to continue their recovery.

As usual, homegrown players Gonzalo and Kellyan (goalkeeper), Juande, Cristo, Ismael Casas, Ramón, Iván Jaime and Hugo, as well as Hicham took part in first team training this morning under the orders of Víctor Sánchez del Amo.

The team will return to training tomorrow, Wednesday (09:30) at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.
