The left-winger comes from Madrid CFF following a great season in the Liga Iberdrola.
Leticia Méndez Fernández (Madrid, 25/07/1992) is the latest addition to Málaga CF Femenino. A left-winger, she arrives from Madrid CFF where she spent the last two years and was quite the revelation last season. Having trained within the youth ranks of Atlético de Madrid, she left the ‘Colchonero’ outfit in the 2012/13 season to join Levante Femenino, where she remained for three seasons before signing to Madrid CFF.
In 2013, and fruit of the great projection shown, Leticia was one of the three players selected for the football draft ‘golden eleven’ in the position of left-winger. In addition, the player was proclaimed Spanish champion with the Madrid team in three categories; U-13, U-16 and U-18.
International career
Leticia has been a regular in the youth ranks of the national squad. With the Under-17s she was proclaimed runner-up of the 2010 European Championships, and took part in the Final Stage of the European Championships in 2011 with the Under-19s.
