Left-back Brezancic joins Málaga CF

The player from SD Huesca leaves the team from Aragón to join the Malaguistas for the rest of this season and next.

Beginnings

Rajko Brezancic (21/08/1989, Vlasenica, Serbia) began his professional career with FK Partizan in Belgrade. In June 2008 he was loaned out to FK Bezanija where he played for half a season. He returned to Partizan in January 2009 and during the winter transfer window of 2010, he joined FK Teleoptik, on loan, where he remained for half a season before again returning to his team of origin. That same summer he left Partizan of Belgrade and moved to FK Metalac Gornji on a free transfer.

Move to Holland

After half a season with his new club, he returned to FK Bezanija in the winter transfer window of 2010/11. He also played for FC Cukaricki, where he was named best left-back in Serbia due to his good performance. Dutch side AZ Alkmaar signed the player in the 2015/16 season, where he remained for one campaign.

SD Huesca

Brezancic played just the one season with the Dutch outfit, before moving to SD Huesca on a free transfer in the summer of 2016. Following two campaigns, he joins Málaga CF for the remainder of this season and one more (until June 2020).

League and Cup in Serbia

During his long career he has achieved three titles. He won the Superleague and Serbia Cup with Partizán of Belgrade in the 2008/09 season. With FC Cukaricki he also won the Cup competition of his country.
