Larrubia: “We have to be self-critical and recover the spark”

The Malaguista midfielder appeared before the press in the Nuevo Arcángel mixed zone: “I know I have to improve many things, I'm very upset about today,” he commented.

Grateful to the fans

“Firstly I’d like to thank the fans who, even though we were losing, didn’t stop cheering us on during the 90 minutes. I want to thank you. The first half was more even, but we have to be self-critical and Córdoba were superior in the second half until Ramón came on to give us pause.”

Self-critical to improve

“The attitude issue cannot be blamed. It’s true that they were the better side in the second half, but the evaluations must be made at the end of the season when we finish the last game and assess the work we’ve done. Now we all have to be self-critical, I know that I have to improve many things, be more decisive in the area and I am very annoyed by today.”

Fans are key

“I tell people to trust the team, we are very united. Until the league and the playoffs end, they continue to support us, they are giving us everything and I hope it continues that way.”

Regaining the spark

“Defensively we’re good, but those at the top are missing that spark. We have to help Roberto more. I'm not being decisive and I hope this team gets that spark and we get to the playoffs well. We want to move up.”

Another chance on Sunday

“The good thing about football, every week it gives you an opportunity. Now we have the chance to forget what we did today and learn from our mistakes. We hope to win.”
