The return: Málaga CF's First Division promotion campaign

Antonio de la Torre and Salva Reina lead the third and final chapter of the trilogy that began two seasons ago, completing the story of Málaga CF's remarkable rise from Primera RFEF back to the top flight in just three years.

Following the return to the First Division, Málaga CF presents 'The Return' this Wednesday 5th August, the third and final instalment of a trilogy that has accompanied the Club since its relegation to Primera RFEF in 2023. It began with ‘The Hard Part’, continued with ‘The Promotion’ following the Club's return to the Second Division, and now reaches its conclusion with Málaga CF's comeback to the top flight.

Once again starring Antonio de la Torre and Salva Reina, the film revisits the powerful scene from the campaign that captured the pain of relegation, giving it a new meaning as the symbol of a journey completed. The place where the Club experienced one of its darkest moments now marks the end of a story of resilience and redemption, as Málaga CF returns to the pinnacle of Spanish football.

The film concludes with the season ticket campaign's slogan, a campaign that once again showcased the unwavering loyalty of the Málaga faithful, reaching 26,550 season ticket holders with an outstanding 99.96% renewal rate: “We achieved it long before we actually did.” Because some victories begin long before the final whistle, when thousands of people choose to believe, stand by their club and never stop pushing it forward.

The campaign was conceived by creative agency FENOMENAL under the creative direction of David Titos, and produced by GOLDA, the same team behind the previous two instalments that have accompanied the Club's journey.

Málaga CF would like to express its sincere gratitude to Antonio de la Torre and Salva Reina for once again taking part in the project on a voluntary basis. Their commitment throughout all three campaigns has helped bring to life a story that began in Primera RFEF, continued in Second Division and now reaches its conclusion with the Club's return to LaLiga. The Club also extends its thanks to FENOMENAL and GOLDA for their dedication and collaboration, both of which have been instrumental in making this campaign possible.

Having supporters who never stop believing is one of Málaga CF's greatest assets. The 26,550 season ticket holders who will back the team throughout the 2026/27 LALIGA EA SPORTS campaign are the clearest reflection of that unwavering passion. So too are Malaguistas such as Antonio de la Torre and Salva Reina, who have once again dedicated their talent and profession to a Club they proudly call their own.

We achieved it long before we actually did.
