La Rosaleda to debut new Spain team

The Martiricos ground will host the Spain – Norway match on 25th March. This match, the first of the qualifying phase for Euro 2024, will be Luis de la Fuente's debut as 'La Roja' coach.

La Rosaleda will once again be adorned in red and yellow to welcome the Spanish national team. The RFEF announced this Thursday morning that the Spain - Norway match on 25th March 2023 will be played at the Martiricos stadium.

This match will also see the debut of Luis de la Fuente as national team coach and kick off the qualifying stage of Euro 2024 in Germany.

This will be the 11th time 'La Roja' will play at La Rosaleda, the last time was on 12th June when Spain defeated the Czech Republic by 2-0 in a Nations League clash. Out of the 10 matches played by the national team in Málaga, three were official and the other seven were friendly.

The Norwegian team, in which Erling Haaland stands out, also has recent experiences in Martiricos, having played three matches in 2021 against Turkey, Luxembourg and Greece.

The Spain - Norway match is integrated into the agreement signed between the Royal Spanish Football Federation and the Junta de Andalucía, for matches to be held between national football teams in the region.

Málaga also opts to be one of the venues of the joint bid by Spain, Portugal and Ukraine to host the 2030 World Cup, thanks to the joint work of the Junta de Andalucía, Diputación de Málaga and Málaga City Hall.

Málaga Club de Fútbol is pleased to be able to host a Spain match once again at La Rosaleda Stadium. The Malaguista fans already showed their dedication to the national side back in June, when tickets sold out in less than 24 hours and all the seats were filled in the stands.

Vamos, España!
