The ‘Malaguistas’ took the lead thanks to a goal by León, but the rival turned the result around within just three minutes. A Miguel equaliser put the score board back level at 2-2 following an excellent display, but Betis again took the lead just before half-time. The academy team was determined to score again and get back in the game in the second half, but another Betis goal sealed their victory.
In the semi-finals, the ‘Malaguistas’ defeated AD Taraguilla (6-3), with Julen scoring five goals, and Miguel the sixth. Real Betis defeated CD Roquetas (5-0) in the other semi.
