Kuzmanovic completes first training session of the week

The team resumed training this Monday morning at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium. The main news of the day was the return of Zdravko Kuzmanovic to group training, at a good pace.

The session was divided into two different parts. The first, of some 45 minutes, was purely physical, with preventive work, specific exercises and continuous running. In the second part, the ball took centre stage, with the players undergoing rounds, possession work and mini-matches on a reduced-sized pitch.

There was a total of 25 footballers involved in this morning’s session – 21 players plus goalkeepers; Roberto, Andrés Prieto, Cengo and homegrown keeper, Samu Casado. The latter abandoned the final part of the session due to a sprained right ankle, pending development. As well as Samu, reserve team defenders, Álex Robles and Ian Soler were part of first team training.

Kuzmanovic re-joined normal group training, whilst Ricca worked alongside fitness trainer, Hugo Camarero, to focus on specific work on the pitch. Meanwhile, Rolan remained in the gym – along with the non-physically fit Miguel Torres – due to some discomfort to the right Achilles tendon, pending medical tests. Juankar is awaiting surgery (21st December).

Tomorrow, Tuesday at 10:30, Málaga CF will return to training at the Ciudad de Málaga athletics stadium.
