Kuki scored a valuable equaliser in the 59th minute of play by finishing a good display by Rubén Fernández, levelling up the scoreboard after Samba took the lead for France in minute 48. The ‘Malaguista’ tried his luck earlier and came close to outwitting France keeper, Luca Zidane with a long ball from midfield at the start of the second half.
With two draws – goalless against Israel, and 1-1 against France – Spain takes second place in the group, sealing their qualification to the under-17s European Championships taking place in May in Bulgaria.
