Kuki and Spain’s under-17s to face Germany in European quarter-finals
Spain’s under-17s drew 0-0 with Croatia in the final group stage match of the European competition taking place in Bulgaria. Spain therefore goes through to the quarter-finals in second place in the group, and will come up against Germany on Friday.
Kuki was in the starting-11 and played for 77 minutes. The ‘Malaguista’ had a good chance to score at the start of the second half with a header following a Villalba corner kick, but was denied by the Croatia keeper.
Spain’s next rival, Germany arrive at the quarter-finals as Group B champions, undefeated in the first stage of the competition, with three victories, seven goals, and not one conceded. They defeated the Czech Republic today by 4-0.
