Supported by some 500 Blue and White fans, Málaga Club de Fútbol defeated CD Lugo in their third consecutive win, the fourth out of the last five LaLiga SmartBank games.
Check out some of the highlights from #LugoMálaga:
Chavarría and Rubén Castro, a duo on a roll
The Blue and White numbers '12' and '24' understand each other perfectly. Both strikers have scored three goals and one assist in the last five games. Their direct participation in these goals has helped to achieve the four victories, three of them on the bounce, which keep the team fighting for the objective. Key in the final stretch of the season.
No two without three
During the last matchday, Málaga CF secured their second consecutive victory for the first time this season. After the 1-2 win at La Cerámica against Villarreal B, and the 1-0 victory against Cartagena at La Rosaleda, the team faced a final at Anxo Carro in the fight to remain in the division. The 0-2 win against CD Lugo brings oxygen and hope. There are not two without three, and the team now faces the objective of another victory at La Rosaleda. Here’s to the third with our fans!
Malaguista invasion in Lugo
The 1,033 kilometres that separate the Anxo Carro from La Rosaleda, the more than 12 hours of travel and the rain didn’t stop over 500 Blue and White fans from travelling to Lugo to cheer on their team. Seven buses, as well as fans who made the trip on their own, toured Spain to demonstrate the greatness of the Malaguista fans once again. Thank you so much for believing.
Rubén Castro surpasses Nino
With his header in the 32nd minute, which put Málaga CF 0-1 in front, Rubén Castro became the all-time top scorer in the Second Division. His 10th goal in LaLiga SmartBank this season is history. Here’s to many more, Ruben!
