Kilometre 29: What a party!

The atmosphere hasn’t been felt like that at La Rosaleda for a long time. The solid 2-0 win against Racing triggered the euphoria among the loyal Blue and White fans.

Here are some of the highlights from #MálagaRacing:

With Pellicer, the numbers sing

Mathematics never fails in football. In the end what prevails are the results. In seven matches, Pellicer has achieved four victories, two draws and just one defeat. Three consecutive wins, a record this season, and 14 points to have 5-points of breathing space from the danger zone. And, why not, a licence to dream. Just 3 points away from the promotion play-offs!

Tete and Lombán, goal-scorers

An unbeatable debut in the starting line-up, at La Rosaleda, for Tete Morente. The winger scored the opening goal with a superb final shot. The Blue and White number ‘10’ is offering an immediate performance level since his arrival in the winter transfer market. Meanwhile, Lombán gave lustre to the strategy with the winning goal. The second this season for the defender from Asturias, new to Pelli’s starting-11.

Ismael Casas the lucky charm

Coincidence? The young player from Jaén called Ismael has played five matches in LaLiga SmartBank, giving a notable performance on the right wing. In four out of five of these games, Málaga achieved victory (twice against Racing, as well as against Numancia and Cádiz) and, when they didn’t win, they drew at La Romareda against Zaragoza… with a goal assist from Ismael Casas. The future is yours.

Party at Martiricos

24.873 Malaguistas filled the Blue and White stadium to cheer on their team to the eighth win of the season. There are now nine matches on the bounce without defeat for MCF at home. The fans in the stands sang, cheered, did the wave…They enjoyed the match like never before and were once again player number 12. The best crowd numbers of the season so far. Thanks fans!
