Kick start to the week with a two-hour session

Málaga CF returned to training this Monday morning at the Ciudad de Málaga after a day off yesterday. The starting players against Barça ended the session earlier than the rest of the team, who were in action between 10:30 and 12:30.

The team focused on physical work in the stadium’s interior galleries for 30 minutes, and continued with ball work on the pitch.  The starting players from #BarçaMálaga, except Llorente and Kameni, trained normally for an hour and a half.  The defender completed the entire session, whilst the Cameroonian goalkeeper remained in the gym pending medical tests being carried out today, following the injury discomfort to the quadriceps in his left leg.

Aarón and Kuki Zalazar, who were in action yesterday with Atlético Malagueño in Antequera, underwent the same training as the first team starting players at Camp Nou.  Juvenil goalkeepers; Álvaro and Ernestas, were new to the session.  Samu Casado, on the other hand, remains absent due to a sprain to his left elbow, pending development.

Beginning the session under the instruction of fitness trainer, Hugo Camarero, were players; Bakary Koné and Keko Gontán. The Burkinabe central defender, who has inflammation to the insertion of the right Achilles tendon, underwent specific training, separately from the group.  In the case of Keko, he focused on a light session, starting work on the pitch, and continuing with his recovery.  Charles, Weligton, Kuzmanovic and Recio alternated between running on the Alter-G machine and treatment in the gym.

Tomorrow, Tuesday from 10:30, Málaga Club de Fútbol will return to training at the Ciudad de Málaga stadium.
