Kameni, Boka and goal-scorer, Horta in international action

Following Tighadouini’s debut with Morocco last Sunday, the rest of the ‘Malaguista’ internationals were in action this Tuesday 17th November. Horta scored again for Portugal’s under-21s.

Kameni – Cameroon

The Blue and White’s goalkeeper was in the starting-11 for Cameroon’s match against Niger (0-0), corresponding to the return leg (first leg ended in a 0-3 win for Cameroon) of the second round of African qualifiers for the 2018 Russia World Cup.  Cameroon didn’t concede a goal for the second consecutive match, qualifying to the next group stage.

 

Boka – Ivory Coast

The left-back was in the starting line-up for the Ivory Coast-Liberia clash (3-0), corresponding to the return leg (first leg ended in a 0-1 win for the Ivory Coast) of the second round of African qualifiers for the 2018 Russia World Cup.  The Ivory Coast won and qualify for the next group stage.

 

Horta – Portugal’s under-21s

The striker left the bench in the second half of the Israel-Portugal match (0-3), corresponding to the group 4 qualifier for the 2017 under-21s European championships.  Horta stepped onto the pitch in minute 67 and scored Portugal’s third goal in minute 87, his second consecutive goal for the group leaders, who have 15 points from five matches (19 goals in favour, one conceded).

 

Rosales – Venezuela

The right-winger was in the starting-11 for Venezuela-Ecuador (1-3), in the fourth South American CONMEBOL qualifier for the 2018 Russia World Cup.  He was shown the yellow card in minute 90, and the ‘Vinotinto’ side suffered their fourth defeat out of four games, putting them at the bottom of the table.

 

Ochoa – Mexico

The ‘Malaguista’ goalkeeper remained on the bench for the Honduras-Mexico match (0-2), corresponding to the second Group A CONCACAF qualifier for the 2018 Russia World Cup.  Mexico secured their second win of two games (five goals in favour, 0 conceded).
