The midfielder leaves the Blue and White club after three seasons, during which he was part of the squads that secured promotion to LALIGA HYPERMOTION and LALIGA EA SPORTS.
The player arrived in Málaga three summers ago and, in his first season, made a total of 29 appearances: 22 in the league, three in the Copa del Rey and four in the promotion playoffs. The 2023/24 campaign was an unforgettable one for Juanpe, as Málaga returned to the Second Division.
Over the following two seasons, the Jerez-born midfielder made a further 36 appearances for Málaga in the second tier, plus one in the Copa del Rey. His contribution helped the team secure another promotion last season, this time to Spain’s top flight.
On a personal level, Juanpe’s experience was hugely valuable to the coaching staff in a dressing room filled with young homegrown players. He leaves Málaga having made his mark as a committed footballer and a much-loved teammate.
Málaga CF would like to thank him for his dedication and wish him every success in the next chapter of his career.
Thank you for everything, Juanpe. La Rosaleda will always be your home.
