Juan Pablo Añor in Venezuela’s under-20s’ in South American Cup
Málaga CF’s youth player, Juan Pablo Añor, is taking part in the 2013 South American Championships on 12th January, with Veneuzuela’s under-20’s.
At 18 years old (24/01/1994), Añor is one of the 22 players that has been selected by Marcos Mathías – César Farías’s assistant coach in Venezuela’s national team – following the initial phase that took place in December in Miami.
Juanpi and the rest of the team are in Group B in the South American Championships, along with Brazil, Uruguay, Peru and Ecuador. The group stage is taking place from 10th to 18th January, with the top three teams in the two groups qualifying to the next round. The four teams that perform the best in this competition will secure a place in the 2013 under-20’s World Cup in Turkey.
The ‘Malaguista’ midfielder will be wearing the number ‘10’ shirt in what will be his second South American tournament. Juanpi previously represented his country in Ecudador’11, with the under-17’s.
