Juan Cruz becomes Málaga CF's new attacking signing

The Argentine winger joins Málaga CF on loan from CD Leganés until the end of the 2026/27 season. The club also holds an option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.

Juan Cruz Díaz Espósito, born on 25th April 2000 in Quilmes, Argentina, is a winger renowned for the quality of his left foot, as well as his crossing, ball-carrying and dribbling ability.

He began his footballing journey in Málaga CF's youth ranks, where he spent 11 years wearing the Blue and White shirt. He made his first-team debut at just 18 years of age on 19th May 2018, featuring in the First Division under head coach Míchel.

Three years later, in 2018, he joined Betis Deportivo, where he spent two seasons while also featuring for the first team, making 11 appearances between 2022 and 2024.

In the 2024 winter transfer window, he joined Club Deportivo Leganés on loan. During his time with Los Pepineros, he helped the club secure promotion to the top flight, a success that led Leganés to make his move permanent. In total, Juan Cruz has made 46 appearances in LALIGA EA SPORTS.

The forward joins Málaga CF on loan from Leganés until the end of the 2026/27 season, with the Malaguista club holding an option to buy. The Argentine, who has deep ties to both Málaga CF and the MCF Academy, will now join Juanfran Funes' squad as the Blue and Whites return to the elite of Spanish football.
