Joaquín: “We had no luck when the time came to finding the best opportunity at getting to the rival’s goal”

Málaga players Willy Caballero, Joaquín and Duda spoke to the media in the Mixed Zone at the Benito Villamarín stadium after the match between Real Betis and Málaga Club de Fútbol.

Statements:

Willy Caballero:
“The most important thing is that we got back to scoring points, leaving behind the zero points situation.  We had some goal chances but we didn’t take advantage of them. If you can’t win, it’s good not to lose.  We had a good run of moves on some occasions but they weren’t accompanied by getting the result.”

Joaquín:
“We had no luck when the time came to finding the best opportunity at getting to the rival’s goal”
“The first half was more equal, but in the second he had more control of the ball and we could push ourselves more upfront.  Overall it was a very balanced game.”

Duda:
“We walk away with a bad taste in our mouths after getting one point as we could’ve got three.  The goalie was very good and now we’re going to work throughout the stoppage to carry on improving.”
