Izan Merino taking part in final phase of the European U-17 Championship
The MCF Academy player has been included in the national team’s squad list for the final phase of the European Under-17 Championship, which will be held in Hungary between 16th May and 3rd June.
The Blue and White Juvenil player joined Spain in concentration last week in Las Rozas (Madrid), at the RFEF’s Ciudad del Fútbol Residence.
Izan Merino is part of the squad for the Spanish Under-17 team that will travel to the capital of Hungary, Budapest, this Tuesday 16th May.
Julen Guerrero's national team, within Group B of the European Under-17 Championship, will have Serbia, Italy and Slovenia as rivals in the group stage.
Spain’s match calendar is the following:
Thursday 18th May – Italy - Spain (20:00)
Sunday 21st May – Spain - Slovenia (16:30)
Wednesday 24th May – Spain - Serbia (17:00)
The quarter-finals of the competition will be held on Saturday 27th May, the semi-finals on Tuesday 30th May and the grand final on Friday 2nd June.
