Homegrown player, Iván Rodríguez, who made his LaLiga debut in #MálagaRealMadrid in substitution of Ignasi Miquel, was in training this Monday morning with the first team. In addition, the MCF Academy goalkeeper, Ernestas also trained under the orders of José González.
The players in the starting line-up against Real Madrid trained in the gym today, as did Recio, who continues the recovery from his knee injury. Diego González, Juanpi, Peñaranda and Juankar trained on the pitch along with fitness trainer, Hugo Camarero, and continued with their recovery processes.
The rest of the squad underwent the usual warm-up and worked with the ball, focusing on completion work with crosses and shots on goal.
Operation Ricca
Malaguista left-back, Federico Ricca will undergo surgery again on his left shoulder on Tuesday. The player continues to present some instability in his articulation, impeding him from performing to the maximum. As such, he will undergo surgery at Hospital Universitario Fundación Jiménez Díaz by doctors Emilio Calvo and Vicente de la Varga (Malaguista team traumatologist). The aim is to be ready for the pre-season with the team.
The Malaguistas will resume training tomorrow, (10:30) at the Ciudad de Málaga.
