Iván González, player for Málaga Club de Fútbol, had to leave the Spanish U-21 squad in Valencia today, Wednesday. The Torremolinos player had a nagging discomfort after the first League game against Valencia, he was not able to exercise at full strength because of a bruise on his left knee, which was not serious, but yesterday it caused a problem during the training session with the international squad. Malaguista doctor Juan Carlos Pérez Frías was in contact with Dr. Guillén and it was thought best that as a precaution, Iván returned home, and follow treatment that will allow him to be available for the second league game next week at the Romareda, unless he has to play in Spain’s second game. “If his progress continues to go well, there should be no problem for him to play against Zaragoza”, commented Pérez Frías to www.malagacf.com.
