Increased homegrown presence to kick off the week’s training

Ernestas, Robles, Manu Alemán and Meléndez were in training with the first team this afternoon at La Rosaleda. All the starting players against Espanyol, except Andrés Prieto and Diego González, remained in the gym.

Around 18:00, a total of 14 players stepped on to the pitch at Martiricos for the first training session of the week. Goalkeepers, Roberto, Prieto and juvenil keeper, Ernestas, plus another 11 players including homegrown defenders, Álex Robles, Manu Alemán and Meléndez, were in training at full pace this afternoon. Samuel García, having recovered from his physical problems, was part of normal training with the other substitutes and non-called-up players from the least League match.

Borja Bastón, due to a contusion to the left gluteus sustained during #EspanyolMálaga, was absent today, together with Kuzmanovic, Recio, Chory, Ricca, Torres and Juankar (no licence), who underwent recovery treatment in the stadium’s gym, along with the starting players from the last game. Cengo (no licence) and Peñaranda, were absent with the Club’s permission.

Tomorrow, Wednesday at 10:30, Málaga CF will resume training at La Rosaleda stadium.
