Blue and White Values flood La Rosaleda

Over a thousand schoolchildren participating in the ‘Blue and White Values’ campaign brought a special colour to Málaga CF’s training session at La Rosaleda stadium today, with the collaboration of Obra Social “la Caixa”.

The fourth edition of the MCF Foundation campaign ended with a visit from boys and girls from seven Malaga schools in this morning’s session. A total of 1.200 children enjoyed watching the first team in training from the ‘Preferencia’ stand at the Blue and Whites’ stadium. They sang the Málaga CF hymn as the players stepped on to the pitch and cheered on their idols throughout the session.

The kids, wearing Malaguista shirts and with their faces painted Blue and White, didn’t stop cheering on the team, with the players returning the affection by greeting them in the stands following training. After the stretching exercises at the end of the session, the footballers took photos with the students.

Students and teachers from Bergamín, Jábega, María de la O, Miguel de Cervantes, Manolo Garvayo, Espíritu Santo and Lope de Vega schools enjoyed this special day, thanks to Obra Social “la Caixa” and with the collaboration of Vithas Salud Rincón Medical Center Rosaleda.

In regard to the sporting aspect of today’s training, homegrown players, Álex Robles, Meléndez, Manu Alemán and Ernestas (goalkeeper) were again in the first team session. Remaining in the gym today were Rolan (right soleus contracture), Borja Bastón (contusion to left calf muscle) and Juankar (viral infection), as well as the injured players; Ricca, Chory, Miguel Torres, Kuzmanovic and Recio, although the captain stepped on to the pitch to continue his recovery separately from the group.

First team goalkeeper, Cengo visited La Rosaleda to undergo a routine check-up. Meanwhile, Peñaranda was absent from training with the Club’s permission.
