Iglesias Villanueva has refereed Málaga CF 15 times, resulting in eight victories, three draws and four defeats. The most recent was this season, a 2-2 draw with RCD Espanyol at the Power8 Stadium, in the fourth League game of the year.
The Galician referee is no stranger to a Málaga CF – Sevilla FC clash at La Rosaleda. His last was in 2010/11 in the return leg of the Copa del Rey knockout stage, which ended in a 0-3 defeat for the Blue and Whites.
