Homegrown keeper, Álvaro Fernández is heading to U-17 World Cup with Spain

The goalkeeper from the Juvenil A MCF Academy team has been called-up by the national squad for the World Cup, taking place from 2nd to 28th October.

Álvaro Fernández is a regular fixture in the youth ranks of ‘La Roja’. Current champions of the Euro U-17 held in Croatia, Álvaro again joins Santi Denia’s line-up to try and conquer the World Cup India, held between 2nd to 28th October.

The goalkeeper will join his national teammates on 27th September, as on the 29th Spain face a friendly against Honduras in Denia. ‘La Rojita’ will debut in the World Cup on 7th October against Brazil, at 17:00, in the city of Kochi.
