Hicham Boussefiane (Rabat, 1998) arrived at the Club in juvenil category from the prestigious Mohamed VI Academy in his home country of Morocco. During his first year he was part of the Juvenil ‘A’ team that took part in the UEFA Youth League in the 16/17 campaign, also achieving a superb runner-up place in the Copa de Campeones and the División de Honor juvenil Group IV league title.
In 17/18 Hicham enjoyed another great season on a personal and collective level. In addition to being called-up to the Morocco youth teams, he consolidated his place within Atlético Malagueño that achieved historic promotion to Second Division B. In the closing stages of matches, he scored the remarkable figure of seven goals.
In his third season with Málaga CF he made his first team debut. It was on 18th August 2018, in Lugo, and he collaborated in an assist in the 1-2 victory at the Anxo Carro in the inaugural Liga 1|2|3 game of the season. In 18/19 Hicham played a total of 16 league games (2 goals) and one Cope del Rey clash, plus another 15 matches (4 goals) with the reserve team in Second B Group IV.
So far this season, like last year, he has alternated between MCF and Malagueño, with minutes on the pitch under the orders of both Víctor Sánchez del Amo and Sergio Pellicer. His speed in finding space, dribbling ability, versatility on both wings and skill with the ball at his feet continue to be at the service of Málaga CF for the upcoming seasons.
