Málaga CF Femenino achieved a draw (2-2) against Fundación Albacete Femenino in a match in which the locals felt comfortable against the Reto Iberdrola Grupo Sur leaders. Ayano debuted in the starting line-up and scored the first goal for the Malaguistas. Clo netted the second.
The Blue and Whites directed play during the initial minutes. They maintained ball possession and felt more comfortable on the pitch. No sooner had play got underway, Carol González approached the goal defended by Campos, but her shot was deflected. It was the first warning sign for top of the table Albacete. In minute 4, Farfán generated the first goal opportunity. She received the ball in the small area and came up against the rival keeper in a one-on-one that ended with Campos blocking the shot and sending the ball to a corner. The rival reacted, but without any danger for Noelia Gil who had little prominence. In 16’, and after an action which Noelia couldn’t prevent, Albacete took a 0-1 lead with a goal from Pauleta. Málaga wanted to equalise as soon as possible and Ayano, with a superb header in 25’ tried her luck but without success. The second attempt came from María Ruiz with a forceful shot that Campos cleared. The locals tried time and again to go level. And they did it thanks to Ayano. The Japanese player debuted in the starting line-up and scored a goal. Adriana, from a free kick, set up the ball for Ayano to head into the goal. After 45 minutes, the scoreboard showed 1-1.
With the second half in play, Clo scored the 2-1 in 52’. A great goal from the corner flag that unleashed joy at the ground, but it was short-lived. Carmen went level for Albacete in 55’ (2-2).
The Costa del Sol side besieged the rival goal. Ornella came on in place of Carol in 75’, and Ayano could have scored another two goals, being the most active inside the area. However, after 90 minutes, the result was all square and no stoppage time was given by the referee.
The 2-2 draw was the final result to bring an end to the first round of the competition in which Málaga CF Femenino has not suffered a home defeat.
