Gomes: "Germany will serve to consolidate out style of play"

Just before leaving for Germany, the recently renewed young players Juanmi and Jesús Gámez together with Málaga's second coach gave an interview at the Pablo Picasso airport in Málaga.

Statement by José Gomes

"In this next phase we are going to give more playing time to each player, and consolidate our style of play. The players have been working very well and we can see that they understand what we want them to do. We want to try out the basics of the game that we have in our minds".

"Apoño, if he were fit to play he would be with us. He has to recover well and when he is match fit he will be with us. We need everybody to prepare for the season, which is going to be long. Juanmi, like the rest of his companions in the youth squad, is following instructions very well. You have to reward them with this kind of thing (his renewal) and continue to focus on working".

"The level of opponents gets higher from game to game. We intend that it gets more difficult so that we can see where we have to improve. I think we are going to give as good as we get".
