Málaga CF Femenino drew 0-0 against CD Juan Grande Femenino from the Canary Islands, on matchday 13 of Liga Reto Iberdrola.
The local side clearly dominated the first half of the match, although despite controlling play, didn’t have any luck in front of goal. María Ruiz had the first opportunity in 17’ with a shot from the edge of the area that was deflected by the right post of Zena’s goal. A minute later it was the turn of Adriana, and subsequently Carol. The three forwards attempted to open the scoring, all without success. Around minute 40, Adriana hooked the ball at the edge of the area, but her shot was deflected by Zena, the goalkeeper’s best intervention of the first 45 minutes. Juan Grande tried to surpass Noelia with a shot from Carla, but the Blue and White keeper had no problems blocking the attempt. With no added time, at 45’ the match reached half-time with 0-0 on the scoreboard.
The local dominance continued for the following 45 minutes of the second half. After the first three minutes, Adriana again had an option to put her team in front. As did Arantxa on several occasions, as well as Carol González and Judi. Time and again Málaga arrived at the Juan Grande goal, but couldn’t break the tie. Cintia, Lorena, Farfán and Edna joined the game, the latter generating a chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but luck wasn’t on the Blue and Whites’ side and the match ended in a 0-0 draw and shared points for both teams.
