Josep Clotet’s boys faced a tough match at the small San Ignacio ground, which made their usual style of play more difficult. There was a lack of fluidity on the attack throughout the match, though the size of the pitch did aid the teams from a defensive aspect. The goal opportunities were few and far between, however Malagueño’s Emilio Guerra had the best chance to score in the first half with a promising header. It was El Palo who looked set to get a goal in the second half, creating two clear chances to score, but the match ended in a 0-0 draw. The bad news was that Cala suffered a dislocated shoulder during the game.
