This is one of the most highly anticipated announcements of the past year and a half. Blue and white fans will be able to once again purchase a season ticket. The ‘Genio Malaguista’ is here at last.
An unusual campaign in terms of time, a season ticket has never been launched after the season had got underway, and also in terms of numbers, as available places are still limited. As such, MCF wishes to specify the following:
When does it start?
The ‘Genio Malaguista’ will go on sale on Monday 13th September. Of course, it’s logistically impossible for the Club to offer it earlier due to the complex operations to be undertaken.
Match against Girona FC – 12th September
Access to the LaLiga SmartBank matchday 5 fixture will be with an entrance ticket. The Club will reimburse the amount of the personal ticket to all those Loyal Malaguistas who opt for a season ticket.
Discount for Loyal Malaguistas in #MálagaGirona
For the match against AD Alcorcón, Loyal fans enjoyed a 25% discount on ticket purchases. For the clash with Girona FC, the Club would like to reward fans and increases the discount to 50%. Every Loyal Malaguista can purchase a maximum of four tickets, but it must be noted that only the amount of their personal ticket will be refunded once they acquire a season ticket.
20% compensaion for season ticket holders from the 19/20 campaign
The Entity will apply the 20% discount to the ‘Genio Malaguista’ to all Loyal Malaguistas who opted for this compensation option at the end of the 19/20 season.
Six-matchn compensation
Málaga CF will honour the six compensation games to the 19/20 season ticket holders who opted for this option once all the restrictions have been lifted.
Season ticket seat location
Loyal Malaguistas who wish to renew their usual seat can do so. However, it’s possible that the capacity distribution at the stadium means the required seat may not be available until the restrictions are lifted. In that case, the Entity will try to find a seat location as near as possible to the usual one.
Loyal Malaguista amount to be taken into account
Malaguistas who wish to buy a season ticket must be Loyal Malaguistas. As previously stated on the MCF official communication channels, the €29 amount will be allotted to the ‘Genio Malaguista’ final amount so the price will be very similar to past seasons.
Málaga CF has set a target of 20,000 season ticket holders for this 21/22 season, but due to the current restrictions, the number of ‘Genio Malaguista’ tickets on sale will be around 15,000.
