María Farfán and Ruth Acedo face a new challenge: to pass the ‘Selectividad’ exams that begin on 12 June in Málaga.
With a league title and promotion under their belts, Málaga CF Femenino players María Farfán and Ruth Acedo now affront a new challenge: to pass the ‘Baccalaureate Assessment Test’ for university entrance, known as ‘Selectividad’, which gets underway on Tuesday 12 June until Thursday 14 June.
Statements by María Farfán
“We’ve not stopped for a week as we achieved our goal which we’ve been working so long for. It’s been amazing to have been able to study throughout the year, although it’s been somewhat difficult. All our effort paid off in the end. We’re still up in the clouds”.
Team study
“We always write to each other as although we take different subjects, we can help one another out, particularly in Language. We always keep in touch”.
Statements by Ruth Acedo
“You approach your studies differently knowing you’re in the First Division. I came back from training, had dinner, went to bed and woke up at 5am to study for an exam I had that day as I didn’t have time to study before. My last two exams were after the CD Femarguín match there. I didn’t sleep at all”.
Studying, key to the team
“For Antonio, studying is paramount, the most important thing. He’s always taught us that and placed special emphasis on it”.
Footballers with a career
“I want to study something related to sport as it’s what I love the most. It would be a dream to become professionals and have our career mapped out”.
