The works corresponding to the first phase of the MCF Academy continue at a good pace. Once the land has been levelled, the second step is to build the structures within this first phase of the project: the main building which will house the offices where the day to day running of the Sports City will be managed; and the grandstand of the natural football pitch.

“The entire foundation of the main building is being prepared. The grandstand is also underway. The idea is that within a week or 10 days the concreting will begin, and the buildings will be erected”, states Raúl Santos, head of works on the MCF Academy.

Some thirty workers from Málaga-based construction firm, Bilba, in charge of constructing the MCF Academy, are working to finish the first phase of the Blue and Whites’ Sports City on a 118.000 square metre site. In addition to the main office building and grandstand, the first stage includes a natural football pitch, two artificial pitches and a parking area for 300 vehicles.
