First training session sees the start of an intensive week, with an absent Weligton

Málaga Club de Fútbol’s first team had an early evening training session this Monday 19th March, the day after their match against Real Madrid.

A day of recovery for the starting 11 in last night’s match at the Bernabéu, with Brazilian centre forward Weligton the only absent player, who was undergoing exercises in the gym, following a bruised right knee which he sustained last night.

Julio Baptista, Juanmi and Toulalan remained out of the session, all recovering from injury.

The remaining members of Málaga Club de Fútbol’s first team underwent a more intense session, with ball possession exercises, goal scoring practice, and ending with a practice match.

Willy Caballero, Kameni, Rubén and reserve keeper Pol worked alongside goalkeeping coach Xabi Mancisidor.

With this evening’s session, Málaga Club de Fútbol have begun an intensive week, which includes a midweek League match against Rayo Vallecano on Thursday 22nd March at La Rosaleda, and in Barcelona against RCD Espanyol on Sunday 25th March.
