Final session of the week featuring an intense training match

Málaga CF returned to training this Saturday morning at La Rosaleda. The Blue and Whites played a training match at the main stadium to bring an end to the week. The players have a rest day tomorrow.

Sergio Pellicer’s men have been in training from Monday to Saturday this week, currently in phase 4 of the training protocol set by LaLiga, working for six consecutive days focused on group technical-tactical concepts.

In today’s session, the same as last Wednesday afternoon, the team played an intense training match – using the full pitch – to continue preparations and gain pace for the imminent return of the competition next week. At the start of the session, there was a technical talk by Pellicer before training got underway animated by the chants of the Malaguista fans, which resonated loudly through the stadium's speakers during the match.

The training match had to be suspended due to the physical discomfort of four players, pending evolution: Buenacasa (muscular strain), Luis Hernández (acute right hip pain) Aarón (capsulitis in the right knee) and Tete Morente (convalescing from deltoid sprain).

Tomorrow, Sunday the Malaguista squad has a rest day. This is expected to be the last day of rest before LaLiga SmartBank resumes next Friday at La Rosaleda (19:30), against SD Huesca.
