Fifth unbeaten match of the summer (0-0)

A goalless draw for Málaga CF and RCD Mallorca in the friendly at the Municipal de Marbella stadium. Muñiz’s men have only conceded in two out of the seven summer matches.

The Malaguistas and Mallorquinistas faced one another in a friendly match this Wednesday evening at the Municipal de Marbella stadium. Both teams will be competing in the Second Division this season, which is why this game was a good touchstone in the summer preparations for both sides.

The Blue and Whites, dressed in white for this match debuting the new third kit, sought domination and to approach the rival goal with combinative, vertical play.

In minute 7 the Malaguistas sent out the first warning of the match via homegrown player, Harper. The striker surprised the keeper from the front with a powerful shot at the base of the post, however the rival goalkeeper managed to deflect the ball.

Twenty minutes later, Ontiveros invented an impossible shot from the corner of the area. The Marbella-born player launched a shot at the target that froze the rival defence, but the ball crashed into the bar. At half-time the score remained 0-0.

In the second half both teams were settled on the pitch and the Malaguista defence didn’t allow any options for the Mallorca attack. The Blue and Whites attempted to reach the area up until the end of play but didn’t manage to overcome the rival defence. At full time the result was 0-0.

Malaguista coach Juan Ramón López Muñiz selected the following players: Munir, Iván R. (Cifu 87’), Luis Hernández, Diego Glez (Pau Torres, 80’), Ricca (Alberto, 87’), Boulahroud (David Ramos, 80’), Adrián, Renato Santos (Hicham, 77’), Ontiveros (Haksabanovic, 77’), Harper and Héctor Hernández (Antoñín, 72’).
