Victory for Málaga CF Femenino by 0-2 against Valencia CF Femenino ‘B’ on matchday 21 of LaLiga Reto Iberdrola. The goals scored by Gabi Morales – making her scoring debut – and Ayano Dozono, who has now scored four goals with the Blue and Whites, gave victory to the Malagueño squad.
The Malaguistas took the lead in 33’ with a goal from Gabi Morales, the latest signing to the team scored her debut goal in a face-to-face with the rival keeper, Pi. With control of the ball and comfortable on the pitch at Valencia’s Ciudad Deportiva, the Costa del Sol side maintained a 0-1 advantage at half-time.
Five minutes into the second half, Ayano converted from the penalty spot to make it 0-2. With a bigger lead on the scoreboard, coach José Herrera gave minutes to Málaga homegrown players.
In 63’, Futu came on in place of forward and goal-scorer, Gabi. The young Malaguista made her first team debut being included in the line-up for the first time. Her entrance on to the pitch brought dynamism to the game, and she narrowly missed out on a third goal as the ball slammed into the crossbar.
With five minutes remaining, an attempt from Buceta also hit the post and she didn’t manage to increase the Malaguistas’ advantage. María Arrabal also made her debut in goal, substituting Noelia Gil five minutes before the final whistle.
After 45 minutes of the second half, the referee called full-time and Málaga Femenino secured another victory. With three more points, the team has 36 and is in fifth place in the standings.
