This will be the first Málaga CF game this season with Estrada Fernández in charge. Throughout his career so far he has refereed Málaga CF on 17 occasions, five being in the Second Division. The Catalán referee didn’t bring good fortune to the Blue and Whites at La Rosaleda last season, as they suffered a 0-5 defeat to RC Celta de Vigo and a 0-1 loss to Elche CF. Curiously, despite having a 40 per cent victory record in matches refereed by Estrada Fernández, Málaga have only won three out of nine home games with him in charge; the last being in 2012/13 by 4-0 against Betis at La Rosaleda.
