En-Nesyri boards the World Cup train

The Málaga CF striker has been included in the definitive list of 23 players on the Morocco squad taking part in the World Cup in Russia.

Youseff En-Nesyri has earned a place amongst the 23 players selected by Morocco coach, Hervé Renard, to take part in the World Cup 2018 in Russia, kicking off on Thursday 14th June.

The Malaguista striker was part of the North African side’s initial preparation stage as one of three reserve players, and in the end, has been included in the definitive list.

The Morocco national team is in Group B along with Spain, Portugal and Iran. The Atlas Lions will debut against Iran; the second match is against Portugal; and they will end the group stage against Spain.

This afternoon, Morocco is taking part in their penultimate friendly before heading to Russia. The rival is Slovakia, kicking off at 20:00. Morocco’s last match will be held on Saturday against Estonia (18:00).
