Málaga CF drew in their visit to Andorra FC on matchday 33 of LaLiga Hypermotion. Murillo, Jauregi, and Montero were the goalscorers for Málaga.
Málaga Club de Fútbol and Andorra FC faced off in the 33rd round of LALIGA HYPERMOTION. Around a hundred Málaga fans accompanied the team on a chilly, rainy, snowy Wednesday. On the pitch, Funes lined up the following starting-11: Alfonso Herrero; Gabilondo, Murillo, Montero, Rafita; Lobete, Izan M., Dani Lorenzo, Joaquín; Rafa, and Jauregi.
Málaga’s first chance fell to Joaquín, but Owono made a commendable save, deflecting the ball for a corner. The same number ‘11’ then took the corner that led to Málaga’s first goal. Murillo shook off his marker and scored, putting Málaga 0-1 ahead in the 22nd minute.
Funes’ side created a few dangerous transitions, especially one finished by Gabilondo on the right wing. Meanwhile, Alfonso came up with several key interventions, making impressive saves.
Málaga benefited from a standout performance by Joaquín, who earned a penalty in stoppage time. Jauregi took the spot-kick and scored, deceiving the home keeper to make it 0-2 (45+4’). With Málaga’s second goal, the score at half-time stood at 0-2.
After the break, Dani Sánchez replaced Rafita at left-back. The home side reduced the deficit with a header from J. Cerdà, making it 1-2 (50’). Shortly after, in the 58th minute, the local striker scored again to level the match at 2-2.
Chupe and Dorrio came on for Joaquín and Jauregi. Málaga responded to the equaliser and created a clear chance. Chupe and Dani Sánchez combined inside the box, but the full-back’s shot hit the crossbar.
Shortly after, Larrubia replaced Lobete, and Niño came on for Rafa.
In minute 80, the home team turned the score around with Lautaro’s goal, making it 3-2. Far from discouraged, Dorrio delivered a precise ball into the box, which Montero converted with a header to level the match at 3-3 in the 82nd minute.
The point allows the Blue and Whites to reach 56 points and remain in 4th place (provisionally) after 33 games. Their next match is away to RC Deportivo. Vamos, Málaga!
