The I master’s degree in sports management comes to a successful close

The first edition of the master's degree in collaboration with the University of Malaga held its last class at La Rosaleda.

The I master’s degree in Permanent Training in Management and Marketing of Sports Entities of Málaga CF and the University of Málaga kicked off on 17th October and came to an end yesterday in a closing event at La Rosaleda Stadium.

The first edition featured 26 students who completed professional training thanks to a group of teachers of the highest level. Twelve months of comprehensive teaching with the best Málaga CF and Málaga University associates and professionals, completed with 140 hours of internships in companies, together with magnificent professional opportunities.

Rafa Bermúdez, student and creator of FALKE ESPORTS, affirmed that it has helped him to develop his project. “This has helped me close a sponsorship agreement and the teaching has been spectacular. I recommend it to anyone who wants to enter the sports sector as it offers you many options,” he stated.

The TikTok Brand Partnership Manager, Raquel Conde, commented that “it has been a great experience. This was the first time I participated in a master's degree of this type and the students have been very dedicated. You are going there to teach, but you also get a lot of feedback and learn. The experience has been great, I hope the students have learned a lot and it helps them in their professional future,” she said.

The recently appointed general manager of El Palo FC, Rafa Hernández, was also “very happy. This has been a master’s with a group of professional and informative teachers. We have learned so much, in addition to making contacts for future relationships. The degree of specialisation of the teachers who have taught each class allowed me to learn more,” he commented.

Lastly, an enthusiastic Kiko Vegas confessed that he had really enjoyed “helping the students who want to grow in the field of sports management” at the hands of “the University and the club that has seen me grow. It’s a great day,” he concluded.

As in the inauguration, the event was completed by a final master class. Kike Pérez, Málaga CF’s general manager, addressed all the students in a speech that highlighted the importance of effort and perseverance within sports businesses. Subsequently, the inaugural event concluded with a group photo and cocktail for those in attendance.

After the success of the first edition, the UMA and MCF are launching their second master’s degree in sports management. The registration period opened in April, with several formalised applications already submitted.
