La Rosaleda’s pitch to be renewed in summer

The pitches at La Rosaleda stadium’s facilities are being prepared for the summer season with the traditional remodelling of the grass at the end of the competition.

The Annexe and main Martiricos pitch will undergo a series of significant changes in the coming weeks, with the aim of looking in optimal condition for the 23/24 campaign.

For yet another year, the Annexe pitch and the Blue and White stadium have responded in an outstanding manner to the daily demands of the first team's training sessions, and to the 21 games held at home in the 22/23 season. La Rosaleda also looked pristine for the commitments of CD Rincón, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish National Team last March against Norway.

Over the past few days the 'skin shedding' has begun before the imminent arrival of summer in the capital. The fundamental change, the transition from the Lolium Perenne (C3) species to Bermuda Grass (C4) based on the elimination of Lolium Perenne, as well as scarification, aeration, reseeding, contribution of amendments and topdressing with sand.

The works should be completed within approximately eight weeks. The primary objective is that the pitch at La Rosaleda is completely ready for next season.
