Málaga CF’s Duda held a press conference in La Rosaleda, following the Champions League draw this morning, revealing Málaga’s rival to be Panathinaikos in the play-offs.
Statements
(The rival) "We know the team well. Jesualdo is their coach, and disregarding the reasons why he left here, we’re looking forward to the match, and will leave everything else off the pitch. It’s not great that the first leg is at home, but we know that we need to win this game.”
“There aren’t any easy teams to beat in the Champions League. We’re doing well, and we’re much stronger and more united than ever. We’re looking forward to playing a great match; even though the first leg is a home game, we’ll be doing everything in our power to win in front of our fans.”
(Possible rivals) "It would have been better not to have any! They’re all top quality teams, though we’re facing the toughest team in terms of the weather now in Greece. But we’re definitely match-ready.”
(First home match) "We need to win by 2-0 or 3-0 in the first leg match to be comfortable, though it’s not going to be easy. They’re a team that are used to being in Champions, but we’re also there on our own merit.”
(Play off) "This match will have everything. Everyone knows Panathinaikos, they’re one of the best teams in Greece, with fantastic players, some of whom have played in the Spanish League. It’s going to be a great match, and I hope it goes our way!”
