On Thursday at 12:00, Málaga CF will pay tribute to the goal-scorer in the 40s and 50s, Pedro Bazán, at La Rosaleda stadium’s door number 9.
From 29th December, door number 9 at La Rosaleda stadium will be named the Pedro Bazán door. With this gesture, the Club pays homage to one of the most significant players in Blue and Whites’ history.
Pedro Bazán Romero, born in La Algaba (Sevilla), on 26th March 1922, is one of the great legends of Malaguismo, based on goals. Bazán scored nearly 200 goals with CD Málaga; was the first Malaguista international to debut with Spain; and achieved the Blue and Whites’ first promotion to the First Division in 1949. A record for a man who maintains another unmatched record in national competition: scoring 9 goals in one match against Hércules de Alicante.
